Well, this week was Leopard 4, a 4 day outfield exercise. I went down on the 2nd day though, lol. It was in the middle of the night, walking through a mountain forest path where I stepped on a big stone and sprained my right ankle badly and it got swollen. The medic bandaged it up for me, but as the distance was too large, a casualty evacuation was impossible, I had to exit the jungle if I were to get onto the safety vehicle to get evacuated and they said we couldn't pull back. So after getting my load off, I was given a stretcher for support and 3 men to escort me as I spent 9 hours limping the remaining 4km path out of the forest, the whole time enduring the immense pain of my ankle. Not to mention the last 2 hours of the trip was in heavy rain. And when I finally reached the vehicle thinking I have reached salvation, the way they treated the casualties really couldn't make it. Together with some other actual casualties, we were sent to the casualty station, where after doing a quick simple diagnosis and giving us basic medicine, we were left there unattended for half a day. When we asked when we could return to our camp to rest, they themselves had no idea. In the end of the day we were told to return to our designated sectors, which was like impossible with my leg condition. So after losing all hope and faith in this army, the exercise ended yesterday and they released us for the night, so I took the chance to go to a hospital and got a proper diagnosis and xray, resulting in a week off duty. I still hurts even now though.
